Sep 4, 2015 - Dear Sir or Madam, I am frustrated because I can not find at Autodesk Revit2016 for 32 Bits as my computer at home is 32 bits, I am a student.
Revit 2016 DB link officially supported databases are Microsoft Access 2010 and SQL Server 2005/2008/2012. (You can refer to the link ). Anyway I try MySQL in my environment, and result is I can export Revit data to MySQL database. So, my suggestions are (1) You can try the officially supported databases Access and SQL Server (2) For MySQL, please guarantee installed MySQL ODBC connection driver(I used MySQL ODBC 5.2 Unicode driver 5.02.05.00) (3) You can try the version of mySQL 5.6 which I used and succeeded (4) If you still have problems, please provide more information like MySQL version, Revit Journals, and pictures/videos what you executed. Hi Bill, I am Gordon from Revit team. Revit 2016 DB link officially supported databases are Microsoft Access 2010 and SQL Server 2005/2008/2012.

Thanks for letting me know it works with mySQL. That is great news. Uninstalling/Installing Office versions is a mess! But still can't get it to work.
Must be missing a step. Here's my stack.
1) mySQL Workbench 6.3, mySQL 57, created one blank database in mySQL called 'RevitDB'. Since it's all on my machine the 'root'user is used for access. 2) ODBC Data Administrator.
Created a 'user dsn' called RevitDB.using mySQL ODBC 5.3 Unicode Driver. When I run the 'Configure.' Option and then 'Test' the connection is successful.
3) In Revit, opened the 'rac_basic_sample_project.rvt' and have RevitDBLink add in installed. Under 'Link Revit Model with Database' > ODBC tab > 'Select new connection' option > 'Export' button > 'Machine Data Source' > 'RevitDB' > mySQL Connector/ODBC Run Test to show 'Connection Successful' > Click 'OK' 4) In Revit, Revit button > Export > ODBC Database > Machine data source (follow steps above). 5) In Revit the 'Processing' thermometer appears in the bottom left of the status bar and proceeds without throwing any errors. 6) In mySQL opening the RevitDB database shows no tables and no records. I can provide screen shots of everything if you have a way for me to get the information to you. Thanks for letting me know it works with mySQL. That is great news.
